Job description
  • Lead the team to deliver on cross functional program management in the identification & qualification of new suppliers
  • Provide technical expertise and direction in the selection of technologies, Processes and Suppliers
  • Conducts and leads production readiness reviews between the supplier and business units throughout the development process
  • Function as a technical liaison between Suppliers, Engineering & Business units to resolve supplier related issues
  • Drive a systematic problem solving, process improvement and value enhancement approach utilizing lean sig sigma principles in collaboration with Suppliers.
  • Assure Supplier’s corrective and preventive action plans are developed & executed in compliance with an 8D process.
  • Conduct assessments/audits on the processes of existing suppliers on a periodic basis.
  • Ensure that supplier development activities are identified ,initiated utilizing the corrective action process & progress is monitored/measured through monthly/quarterly score card reviews
  • Data analysis & Data management : Analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement; Utilize data analysis to drive decision making
  • Prepares and submits weekly/monthly reports, prepares metrics and trends data to identify & prioritize continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct trainings Assist Quality improvement teams in the development of action plans and implementation schedules.
Requirements

Assessment & approval of new suppliers/parts and development of supplier through audits,trainings & continual improvements.

  • BTECH, Mechanical – 14 plus Years
  • Good understanding of casting, forging, Machining, Heat treatment & surface treatment processes
  • Knowledge of quality tools, GD & T, QC tools, VDA 6.3,
  • Strong Knowledge & Experience in SPC, MSA, FMEA, PPAP, APQP
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills & interpersonal skills
