Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Plant Finance & Controlling

  • Manage day-to-day plant finance activities including month-end closing, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor plant P&L, variance analysis (Actual vs Budget vs Forecast), and drive cost control initiatives with operations.
  • Support capex evaluation, tracking, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies and statutory requirements at plant level.

2. Costing & Product Costing

  • Own standard costing, BOM/routing review and periodic updates in SAP.
  • Perform product costing, overhead absorption and cost roll-ups in SAP.
  • Analyze material, labour and overhead variances; partner with production, supply chain and procurement for corrective actions.
  • Support make vs buy, pricing and margin analysis through robust cost data.

3. FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis)

  • Lead annual operating plan, quarterly forecast and monthly outlook for the plant.
  • Prepare and review plant-level MIS, dashboards and management presentations.
  • Provide analytical support on productivity, yield, efficiency, and cost optimization projects.
  • Support scenario analysis, profitability analysis by product / SKU / customer as required.

4. SAP & Systems

  • Work extensively on SAP (preferably CO, FI, MM, PP modules) for costing, reporting and controlling activities.
  • Ensure data integrity, correct master data setup (cost centers, profit centers, material masters) and alignment with corporate guidelines.
  • Support process automation and report simplification using SAP and other analytical tools (e.g., Excel/BI tools).
Requirements
  • CMA (Cost & Management Accountant) – Mandatory.
  • 4–6 years of post-qualification experience in plant finance, costing and FP&A in a manufacturing environment – Mandatory.
  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP (CO/FI; experience with MM/PP preferred) – Mandatory.
