Job description

HSE Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and implement organization-wide HSE strategy and governance framework.
  • Establish best-practice HSE systems, policies, procedures and standards.
  • Drive safety culture transformation across all operational and support functions.

Plant Safety & Process Safety

  • Lead Process Safety Management initiatives across manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct HAZOP, HAZID, risk assessments, PSSR, MOC and safety reviews.
  • Ensure safe operation of hazardous chemical processes and storage systems.
  • Monitor implementation of engineering and administrative controls.

Regulatory & Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Factory Act, PCB norms, hazardous chemical regulations and

environmental laws.

  • Manage regulatory inspections, audits, licenses and statutory submissions.
  • Act as key interface with government and compliance authorities.

Environment & Sustainability

  • Drive environmental management initiatives including emissions, effluent, waste and

resource management.

  • Lead sustainability, energy conservation and environmental improvement programs.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental permits and operational conditions.

Operational Risk & Incident Management

  • Drive site inspections, safety audits, behavioural safety initiatives and risk mitigation

programs.

  • Lead investigation of incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Emergency Management

  • Develop emergency response plans and crisis management systems.
  • Conduct mock drills and ensure emergency preparedness readiness.
  • Oversee firefighting systems, emergency response teams and disaster management plans.

People Development & Safety Culture

  • Lead HSE training, competency building and awareness programs.
  • Develop strong employee and contractor engagement in safety practices.
  • Promote continuous learning and ownership of HSE performance
Requirements
  • B.Tech / B.E. in Chemical Engineering
  • Additional qualifications in Industrial Safety / Environmental

Management / Process Safety preferred.

  • 15–20 years of HSE experience within chemical / specialty chemical /

hazardous process industry.

  • Strong exposure to plant safety, process safety, environment

management, and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience leading site-level HSE function in a manufacturing setup.
