• Prior experience within the automotive sector or powertrain research environment (OEM, tier 1 supplier or consultancy)
• Minimum 3+ years’ in-depth experience of engine management system calibration.

• Eager to learn and utilize the AVL developed calibration tools enabling fast and high-quality state of the art calibration.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diesel Engine calibration in passenger car/ commercial vehicle / off- highway segments.
• Engine calibration: P&E optimization, Air and Fuel path optimization and modeling for steady and transient state including Sensor and actuator calibration
• ATS calibration including Characterization / modelling.
• Vehicle drivability assessment & calibration improvement suggestions.
• ECU software gap analysis and Propose function & algorithm changes to improve EMS functionality.
• Depending on the nature, size and type of the project and your skills, project management responsibility can be part of your tasks
• Schedule tests, monitor progress and guide engineers
• Record deviations and implement corrections. Desired Expert Knowledge

• Experience of engine management systems calibration
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of engine testing procedures for combustion and performance & emission development.
• Experience in after treatment selection and calibration.
• Experience in OBD calibration is added advantage

Software Skills Required:

• Experience of application and data logging tools such as INCA, ATI Vision, VISU, CANalyzer or similar tools
• Experience of dedicated data evaluation tools such as AVL Concerto or similar tool.
• Experience of dedicated data modeling tools such CAMEO or similar tools
• Experience in using technical computing / scripting environments such as Matlab, Simulink, Python.
