Job description

Lead HSE for Global Manufacturing Sites to achieve Zero tolerance or zero accidents.

  • Conceptualize, Recommend and implement HSE processes & Objectives aligned to Company’s Strategy, Values & Goals.
  • Ensuring effective coordination between various units and departments for HSE Priorities.
  • Develop, Manage, present HSE Analytics to identify and fix the improvement areas for continuous improvement.
  • Identify the processes to arrest the areas of non-compliance and develop mechanism to reduce/eliminate the scope for the non-compliance.
  • Develop and implement processes for risk reduction and accident prevention by ensuring effective incident management from reporting to investigation and sharing learning.
  • Draw up a plan and implement risk assessments, safety audits/inspections to identify potential risk and take all CAPA to mitigate fire and safety hazards arising out of plant operations, within and around the plant.
  • Keep employees informed, educated, trained, and retrained on health and safety standards to ensure safe conduct of their jobs.
  • Ensure that every employee including contractors and visitors comply with all safety rules and regulations framed for the plant.
  • Lead a team of dedicated HSE professionals with responsibility for talent development and mentoring related to technical expertise and leadership capability.
  • Developing HSE manual and standards for all Global manufacturing Locations.
  • Implementing Safety modules and promoting behaviour based safety culture.
  • Assisting in design and development of HSE training modules with reference to national and international standards, OSHA, good engineering practices
  • Visiting the site periodically and carrying out safety inspections and providing guidance to evolve and maintain safe management system.
  • Evaluating the plant personnel awareness on emergency procedures, observing mock drills to evaluate effectiveness of emergency response plan and then identifying areas of improvement.
  • Compliance of Legal requirements applicable to HSE Management.
Requirements

Minimum 20 years as a health and safety experience in manufacturing industry preferably chemical sector unit and minimum 5 years of experience at Corporate Level.Degree in Chemical Engineering + PG Diploma in Industrial safetyOverall knowledge of the industrial safety, ISO 45001, 18001

standards. Knowledge on legal compliance, Statutory & regulatory requirements and firefighting/ first aid, process safety
